About the symposium
The Malay Heritage Centre invites you to our inaugural Educators Symposium, where we will delve into ways to enhance students’ learning and experience on Malay culture and heritage, and the significance of learning about another culture in the 21st century.
This symposium is conducted in English and is designed for educators involved in delivering the Malay or Humanities curriculum, as well as organising festive celebrations like Racial Harmony Day or Hari Raya Puasa for students.
Teachers will also have the opportunity to enhance their understanding of Malay culture and heritage. Let’s foster a meaningful appreciation for Malay culture and heritage together.
About the Malay Heritage Centre
The Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) is a museum at Kampong Gelam that showcases the history, culture and contributions of the Malay community within the context of Singapore’s history and multi-cultural society. The Centre is currently closed for a revamp, but we continue to bring meaningful programmes and travelling exhibitions around Singapore. MHC is under the management of the National Heritage Board in partnership with The Malay Heritage Foundation.
